New features
- Media in multiple choice questions: Add an image, video, or embed, plus an optional narration audio clip, to any multiple choice question. The media appears in both preview and exam views.
- Media in carousel slides: Each carousel slide can now hold an image, video, or embed, plus optional audio, through the new Add Media dropdown.
- Alt-text for flip card images: Add a text description to flip card images from the media options menu, so your courses stay accessible.
- More languages in the translator: Canadian French and Brazilian Portuguese are now direct choices in the language picker.
- Delete blocks with the keyboard: Select a block, then press Backspace or Delete to remove it, instead of opening the three-dot menu.
- Side-by-side button rows: Place up to four buttons in a row, and toggle edit and preview to test button links without leaving edit mode.
- A ready-made onboarding course for new accounts: New standalone accounts start with a pre-built Getting started course instead of an empty library.
Bug fixes
- Duplicated courses keep their own content: Fixed empty lessons appearing when previewing a duplicated course.
- Stable editing in cards: Fixed a crash and an issue where a card could be deleted by the next keystroke after you selected its layout.
- Paste images into cards: Fixed pasting images into cards, including screenshots and images copied from the browser.
- SCORM lessons complete at the right time: Fixed exported SCORM lessons that could complete as soon as a learner opened them.
- Editor menu no longer covers dialogs: Fixed the floating editor toolbar appearing on top of dialogs.
- Fewer errors when moving between pages: Fixed intermittent errors when navigating between pages.
- Clearer message for lessons with no source pages: Visual-convert lessons with no assigned source pages now explain the issue instead of failing with a generic error.
Improvements
- Faster, cheaper AI lesson generation: Lesson generation moved to a stronger model that is faster and more cost-efficient at equal or better quality.
- Better structured, better scoped courses: Outlines read a full inventory of your sources and scope lessons proportionally, with more reliable layouts and callouts.
- Better stock image selection: Automatic stock images are more appropriate and neutral, especially on sensitive topics.
- Faster source processing: Source summarization is about four times faster, cutting the wait before you can generate lessons.
- Scanned and image-only PDF support: PDFs that are scanned or image-based now work through selective text recognition, with better reading of headings, tables, and columns.
- Correct heading levels for quiz questions: Quiz and question headers use the right heading level for a cleaner outline and better screen reader support.
- Return to the cover page from the title: Learners can select the course title in the top navigation bar to return to the cover page on desktop.
